- M&A and its role in corporate restructuring strategies;
- business valuation techniques and how financial modeling methods can be applied to valuing various types of business combinations;
- value creation (or destruction) as a result of corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, etc.;
- takeover tactics and defenses;
- the importance of understanding assumptions underlying business valuations;
- a highly practical “planning based” approach to managing the acquisition process;
- challenges related to each phase of the M&A process;
- the pros and cons of alternative deal structures.
